The Obesidomic Research Group led by Dr. María Pardo is looking for a highly motivated candidate, with cientific spiritc, competitive bachelor degree and interested in the study of extracellular vesicles as communication tools between tissues in the context of obesity.

The Obesidomics group at Instituto de Investigación de Santiago de Compostela work in the identification of new communicating signals shed by adipose tissue according to its anatomical localization, and its alteration on the development of obesity pretending as last purpose, to find new biomarkers and therapeutic targets to treat obesity:

– Proteomics analysis of visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue secretome and its implication on obesity development
– Role of extracellular vesicles released by human adipose tissue in obesity
– Functional role and clinical application of exosomal biomarkers released by adipose tissue to the study and monitoring obesity

The student will be enrolled as a pre-doctoral student in the Project: Functional role and clinical application of exosomal biomarkers released by adipose tissue to the study and monitoring obesity
